Victory Arch

We went to the Victory Arch while my Great Grandpa Fred was here. This is the arch that he marched under in the Army when he left to go overseas to fight in WW II. While he was in Northern Africa & Italy my Dad was born. When he returned home, under this same arch, he rode a train back to Michigan and got to see his son, my Dad, for the first time. My Dad was two years old at the time.
Touring the arch was a special day for Grandpa as he turned 85 years old this month. It is so amazing to think how our family history would be so different if he had not returned home safely to America.
