Slate Run Farm

We went to a 1800's working farm called Slate Run just southeast of Columbus, Ohio. (Daddy took me there this spring too and I got to see lots of baby animals that had recently been born!) There were no babies this time, but we saw pigs, turkeys, sheep, cows, horses & ducks. We saw horses working in the field and got to pet them when they came in for their lunch break. We also learned how to shuck corn the old fashioned way and grind it up into fine cornmeal. Auntie Bekah is a good teacher! Mommy surprised us all by showing off her hidden talent of stilt walking (while pregnant!) And I had fun chasing a barn cat!
