Capitol Hill

My friend invited me to attend a hearing for a bill that her husband helped work on regarding Chinese currency at the Longworth House Building. It was neat to get a behind the scene tour of our government at work. Of course we had to play tourist too, hence my bag(s) of goodies!

Oh, and don't ever wear heels all the way there from your car to the metro to the building...Marthalee proved what a true friend she is by swapping shoes with me. After I applied multiple bandaids to blisters she gave me her ballet flats for my "Barbie shoes!"

Lesson learned!
