Jamestown

"This is where Santa comes down the chimney!"
We went to Jamestown today with our friends David & Sadie from DC. This year is the 400th Anniversary of this settlement; the Queen of England is coming here next weekend! (The tall white structure behind us was errected to commemorate the 300th Anniversary.) To the right is the brick church, rebuilt over the original foundation, and the tall wood fence on the left marks the location of one of the three actual triangular fort walls.

This statue is of Captain John Smith, the Govenor of Virginia in 1607. I also liked seeing the statue of Pocohantas.

The "Barracks" as seen in its post form before being mudded.

Tummy Time

Oscar had his first tummy time and did great! His neck is so strong, he loves to look outside.

Worker Bees

Poppa Brian helped Daddy lay pavers so we could put up a gazebo, or, as I like to call it, a bug-free zone!

Carnival

We went to a local elementary school carnival over the weekend. My First ever Pony Ride! I was nervous so I had Mom walk alongside me.
I did a great job holding on. The pony's name was Patches.

Auntie Bekah had her face painted with an ice cream cone. I was supposed to get mine done too but I changed my mind at the last minute.

Asking for an ice cream but being too shy to "really" ask for it! Auntie helped me out here, don't worry, I didn't go without!

Time to Eat!

I can nurse my baby doll just like Mommy does with Oscar! I even have a "boppy"...it's my elephant U-shaped neck pillow!

Caught!

Auntie and I had fun (twice!) at the ice cream sundae bar at a local restaurant...I especially liked the blue whipped cream!

What are you lookin' at?

Yes, I have a very concerned look on my face...No, I didn't give myself a hickie on my forearm!

Dad introducing me to the world of fish already. Grandpa Ronnie should be proud!

The hospital I was born in is in the background: the brick building with the green roof

Poppa Brian & Nanna reading the "Letters Home" Memorial...I had fun running around!

Daddy trying to rouse Oscar by tickling his feet. This boy can sleep!

Auntie & Poppa

My Poppa Brian & Auntie Bekah were here over the weekend (with Nanna too!) and got to meet Oscar for the first time!

Brother

Having popsicles with my friends Emma & Cassidy on the front steps.

Swinging with Emma.

Oscar snoozing per usual...

He was awake outside with us for a little while. He got to wear this cute hat for the first time.

Holding baby Brother this morning before I went to school. He started to cry and I gave him his binki and he stopped! Mommy said I am such a good big sister!

Hat Head

Mom had to try this hat on to see how it fit...I'm ready to go fishin'! Today I really started being able to lift up my head and spitting up a little when I get burped.

Thursday Morning

My good side...I fell yesterday at the Acquarium while running and got a big goose-egg on my forehead and a scrape by my eye...I self-band-aided myself and then refused to take them off even though today was school picture day!
Good Morning Oscar! I love (attempting and sometimes succeding!) waking up my brother.

Acquarium

I was explaining to my friends how the eggs hatch and the baby turtles crawl out!
Nice Lobstah!

I am almost as tall as a King Penguin! We got to watch the penguins eat their breakfast!

Oscar's antics

A good stretch in the morning does a body good...add a grunt or two
if you really want to be effective!

I can hold my own drink Dad!

Siblings

I was helping push Oscar in his swing this afternoon...tomorrow he'll be three weeks old!

Dentist

Here I am practicing having an x-ray taken of my teeth! Grandma and I were playing with my dentist playdough kit and making goofy big pink tongues and working on teeth!

Baby Blessing

Oscar's first personalized cake!
Wake up little Brother so we can eat your cake!

You missed out, this was one yummy cake! Thank you Miss Debbie for spoiling us for the afternoon with a lovely luncheon to welcome Oscar.

Date Night

Many thanks to Grandma Judi for watching the two kiddos so we could go on our first date since Oscar's arrival! Kristian was a "sponsor" for a co-worker that was being promoted to Cheif so we attended her initiation dinner.

Let's Eat!

Grandma Judi giving Oscar a bottle. A new experience for her as her two granddaughters never took a bottle!

Botanical Garden

Want some dirt?
Let me pump you some water...

and we'll rinse the dirt off the seeds and plant them!

Again, Oscar slept through the whole affair, waking once to eat. Here he is sleeping with his mouth open, like his middle namesake Great Grandpa Fred! :)

My friends and I on the swing! We had a great picnic and enjoyed our time at the Garden!

Bathing Baby

Here I am helping Grandma Judi give Oscar another bath...I got to use the squirty bottle to rinse soap off his head & body!

Busch Gardens

Riding the carosel with Grandma Judi
Oscar staying warm. Sometimes he looks like a worried old man...and he's too young for that at only 12 days old!

Our First ride together on the carosel as a family of four!

Oscar's First Ride ever...Yes, he slept through the entire ride! In fact, he slept through the entire day! He only got up to eat! What a life, eh?

"Navigating" the boat. The last two times (last year) I tried this ride I didn't like it, so I shocked my folks today and went on in numerous times!

Giddyap Go little horsie! I look happy here, but once the ride started I started crying...and my Dad was wishing they'd go fast for my sake, HA!
