Loose Tooth

Eleanor has her first loose tooth...I'm not sure I'm ready for this!?! We both went to the dentist on Monday and I was able to see her x-rays so I knew it was close, but when she came out of school yesterday I was shocked to see her wiggling it back and forth! As an infant she got her first tooth at 5 months so I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. It is her lower right central incisor. My baby girl IS growing up!

Carving Pumpkins

Boo!
Oscar did NOT like pulling goo & seeds out, Eleanor on the other hand, dug right in!

Eleanor's Kindergarten class walked to the neighborhood "patch" today and she carried this one home in her backpack! They only took "like 50-hundred breaks" b/c they got tired carrying their heavy loads.

Oscar wanted to take our photo!
Eleanor LOVES pumpkin seeds, the oven couldn't be done fast enough in her opinion!

Oscar's "mean pumpkin" on the left and Eleanor's "happy" one on the right.

Trunk or Treat

Haley & Eleanor see each others costumes for the first time!
Friends since infancy, from Ohio to DC!

The gang!
The church we've been attending is in the background.
Trunk or Treat!
Zoe and her Mom Bambi had a neat Wizard of Oz trunk.
Spiderman enjoying a ride from Daddy.
Oscar was so funny b/c he said it wasn't dark so we couldn't possibly be trick or treating!

Fall

We have two burning bushes, a japanese maple and a dogwood in the backyard providing us with beautiful fall color.
Saturday morning leaf clean-up effort: a family affair!

What child labor laws? Kiddos working for their breakfast.
Two days later...ready to be raked again!?!

Oscar loading up the wagon.
Teamwork!

Eleanor finding her favorites.

Hitchin' a ride from Daddy.
Oscar LOVED pulling this wagon, he called it his ship.
All smiles!
We went home and enjoyed homemade chicken noodle soup.
Eleanor learned a fun song about Christopher Columbus at school today, it is so sweet to hear her singing (and learning!). "Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492 with three ships, three ships, the Nina, the Pinta & the Santa Maria!"

Twins?

The boys working on the leg pieces of our new cornhole game.
Oscar loves "helping with projects!"

New pet?

Eleanor was so excited to find this fuzzy brown catepillar!

Play Ball!

Riding the Metro to the ballpark...
I was recalling Eleanor wearing her OSU cheerleader outfit to the football game as an infant. We rode the Columbus city bus and she fell asleep on the way home (this night was no different, except she was not in our arms!)

Washington Nationals here we come!

Eleanor is learning how to read, so we had fun reading the players names and jersey numbers off the big screen. She got really excited to see fireworks when a homerun was hit!Oscar enjoying a HUGE chocolate chip cookie!

The Nats beat the LA Dodgers, 5-4.

Fun times at Home

Eleanor's super tall block tower creation!
Oscar playing a computer game for the first time.
He has a book called Jack Truck and the website is www.trucktown.com All the trucks have names and the 2 online games are similar to bowling (using a wrecking ball) and football (kicking a tire through the goalpost). We've also enjoyed the coloring pages!
