Dynamic Duo
The kids have been wonderful helpers this week while Daddy is out of town.

He has become attached to his "Blue Blankie & Bear" this month, you can "bearly" see him listening intently, all snuggled up next to his little buddy.

Little Miss Hygienist!
I was so tickled to find Eleanor playing "Dental Hygienist" with her Barbie the other day! What a treat for me as her Mom AND a RDH!
BTW, we have our prophy appointments next Friday with my friend Shannon and are making it a "girl date" complete with a trip to the thrift store & Mexican for lunch...I can't wait!

Oscar's First Day of "School"
Eleanor is SO excited to have her little brother attending her school for one morning a week! The program is technically called "Mother's Morning Out" but we're telling him it's school & he loved it. It was odd for me not to have my little buddy in tow but I think I will enjoy having Wednesday mornings to myself! It was a stress-free grocery shopping trip, I didn't even have a list, unbelievable!
Despite his face in this photo, his two teachers said he had a great first day, never once cried and loved going down the slide on playground.

My only Grandpa & I
March 2008
Michigan, August 2007
Grandpa Fred passed away Sunday morning, February 1st. He was 87 years old. It came as such a shock to all of us as he was making marked improvement with each day after his recent transfer out of the hospital into a Rehabilitation Center in Green Bay. He was only there 6 days. My Dad & Uncle Duane were dedicated & tireless sons, visiting him daily since his fall on Christmas Eve. I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with him in early January, sitting at his bedside in the ICU, holding his hands, talking and singing to him. Also for our family time at the camp together in early December with all four of his great-grandchildren. He was so sweet with all of them, getting tears in his eyes when he talked about baby Carter carrying on the family name.

Thank you to all who sent cards, flowers & whispered a prayer for our family during this time. Even though I am sad, I have been at peace & attending the funeral with my family was priceless.
