Nail Trim

Now if I could only reach my baby toe!?!
Oscar is SO good when it comes to trimming his nails, he even tells me which one to trim next.
"I do it" was his request this morning.

Breakfast Time!

Dynamic Duo

The kids have been wonderful helpers this week while Daddy is out of town.
Watching Free Willy, Eleanor's new favorite movie, accompanied by tons of questions!
Eleanor reading Oscar his truck book.
He has become attached to his "Blue Blankie & Bear" this month, you can "bearly" see him listening intently, all snuggled up next to his little buddy.

Friday at the Zoo

Yes, daffodils are blooming here!?! Please don't hate us...
Typical boy...checking out the machinery, meanwhile sister is posing!

I almost caught the prairie dog touching his paw (?) to the glass against Oscar's fingertip!

Oscar's 2nd Haircut

Getting the clipper for the first time. Don't you love the faces he makes?
Ahh, the sweet reward of a blue Tootsie roll sucker!
This was a special haircut b/c it took place at the Norway Barber Shop where Great Grandpa Fred had his haircuts by Barber Ron too! Poppa Ronnie & Daddy also had their hair cut here today.

Airport fun

The kids enjoyed throwing pennies in the water feature at the Green Bay, WI airport. I thought they were too cute with their backpacks...and such good travellers too!

Little Miss Hygienist!

I was so tickled to find Eleanor playing "Dental Hygienist" with her Barbie the other day! What a treat for me as her Mom AND a RDH!
BTW, we have our prophy appointments next Friday with my friend Shannon and are making it a "girl date" complete with a trip to the thrift store & Mexican for lunch...I can't wait!

Oscar's First Day of "School"

Eleanor is SO excited to have her little brother attending her school for one morning a week! The program is technically called "Mother's Morning Out" but we're telling him it's school & he loved it. It was odd for me not to have my little buddy in tow but I think I will enjoy having Wednesday mornings to myself! It was a stress-free grocery shopping trip, I didn't even have a list, unbelievable!
Despite his face in this photo, his two teachers said he had a great first day, never once cried and loved going down the slide on playground.
Eleanor enjoyed her class Valentine's Day party this week complete with a heart-shaped pinata!

Grandpa Fred passed away Sunday morning, February 1st. He was 87 years old. It came as such a shock to all of us as he was making marked improvement with each day after his recent transfer out of the hospital into a Rehabilitation Center in Green Bay. He was only there 6 days. My Dad & Uncle Duane were dedicated & tireless sons, visiting him daily since his fall on Christmas Eve. I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with him in early January, sitting at his bedside in the ICU, holding his hands, talking and singing to him. Also for our family time at the camp together in early December with all four of his great-grandchildren. He was so sweet with all of them, getting tears in his eyes when he talked about baby Carter carrying on the family name.
His full obituary can been seen online at:
Thank you to all who sent cards, flowers & whispered a prayer for our family during this time. Even though I am sad, I have been at peace & attending the funeral with my family was priceless.
