I Lost a Tooth

Eleanor lost her 5th tooth today! It was her lower right lateral incisor.
She told me the funniest story about how she pulled it out by herself at lunchtime and her friend Summerson told the boys lunch table and then her friend Gage told the Lunch Lady and the Lunch Lady made her go to the Nurse! AND of course it happened on a day that I forgot to put a napkin in her lunchbox so she had to borrow her friend Helena's napkin because it was bleeding "so much!"

Speedy Scooter

Oscar had a fun afternoon riding his scooter in the circle and through the mud puddle in our neighbors driveway.
Go speed racer!

First Feis

Eleanor had her first Feis today!
(That's Irish Dance for Competition.)
The girls all did a wonderful job onstage in front of a full house performing two steps, the light jig & reel.
Eleanor placed 3rd in both steps.
She wanted to have a photo taken of her trophy.
Oscar called it a "Dolly" upon first sight, it was too funny!

Pump it Up Party

Eleanor enjoyed the big slide.
Oscar entering the obstacle course.
We were invited to our first Pump it Up birthday party for a neighbor friend and had a wonderful time. It was a bit of a drive, up in Leesburg, but it was worth it!

Sock Hop

Eleanor attended her first school dance last night, a PTA sponsored Sock Hop.
She was thrilled to win this hat as a doorprize after watching the hula-hooping contest!

Breakfast Castle

While eating breakfast, Oscar proclaimed "I made a castle door on my plate!"

My Little Sunshine

This is one of his favorite bedtime songs..."Please don't take my sunshine away, schuuut!"
(The "schuut" is a funny sound he makes, trying to beat me to the last word. It is so funny and we always giggle about it. His black eye, on the right side, is almost gone.)

Eleanor's artwork

Eleanor's watercolor cardinal made in her first afterschool art program this year.
A crayon castle, complete with a moat & guard animals.

Gingersnaps

My little bakers at it again!
I bought molasses for Boston Baked Beans & it reminded me of how I used to love baking gingersnaps in high school. So...my children snapped to it!

Oscar was the scooper & Eleanor the sugar roller.
Busy hands

Cinnamon spice and everything nice...makes delicious gingersnaps!

My Rainy Day Superhero

The scientist in me put a few leaves in the water "upstream" from Oscar. He was so concerned for the leaves, not wanting them to disappear down the drain, that he rescued them and told me not to do that again!

I'm taking an online photography class, a first!
So please pardon mass photos of the same subject in this post and those to follow. I have a Cannon point & shoot camera...wondering if this class will make me want (or not want!) to purchase a new camera. These were taken right after getting home from preschool on a rainy Friday.
