First Steps!

We are proud (?) to report that Oscar took his first 3 steps all by himself last night in the kitchen after dinner. Daddy witnessed the event while digging through leftovers in the fridge. He's taken 2 small steps towards me since then, but mostly he still likes to hang on to at least one of our fingers while walking from room to room in search of big sister! If we aren't available to help walk him, he'll crawl there himself! So self-sufficient!
At dinner tonight he was offering me his food on his fingers, but I was really pleasantly surprised when he offered me some of his drink! Such a sweet boy!

Ok, better go help save Kristian from bathtime with both of them! OH, which reminds me...don't ever let your 3 year old talk you into taking your morning shower with both your children! Oscar wanted to be held and Eleanor kept hogging the water so it was a quick one that most likely won't happen again! One is fine, two is too much!

Beach Time

It was really low tide and we saw lots of neat things, like this giant jellyfish that has washed up on shore.
Cool rocks. I had fun picking up shells & rocks and giving them to Daddy to carry for me!
Sophie & I walking in the surf.
We found this cool sponge too. Mommy said it looked like a brain.
Oscar had fun but fell asleep on the walk back.
What a pleasant outing for Christmas Day, eveyone had a great time, dogs included!

Christmas!

My new Tool Box! Thank you Uncle Mark, Aunt Meredith & Cousin Madisen!
Daddy thought I had a screw loose so he was trying to fix me!
Santa knows how much I LOVE popcorn!
Playing with my new Christmas ornament. This was the most trouble I got into with the tree, which is pretty good for my first time. Santa?
"I almost forgot! I have to iron something. This is very serious..." Eleanor while we were eating Christmas Eve upon remembering she had a task to finish with her new gift from Nanna & Poppa.
Hey! Watch it Buster! I'm trying to drive here!
Opening an American Girl doll named Kit! Thank you Nanna & Poppa!
Poppa Brian brought me a flamenco dress from his recent trip to Spain! We watched how they dance on the computer so I can practice.
Oscar's first Christmas, I had to show him how to open presents.

Trouble?

He went that-a-way!
Eating Swedish pancakes for breakfast, YUM!
Open, close. Yup, I can open the door to the ark! Thank You Jeanine, Paul & Max!
Caught red-handed!
Standing on top of the Little People manger. Hmm, I think I"ll lift my leg up on the coffee table and see how far I can crawl on top of it! Mom says I'm showing off for Nanna & Poppa, who just arrived for Christmas.

Oscar's First...

It was Oscar's first fall-asleep-at-the-table meal! No, it wasn't turkey! He didn't get a nap this afternoon as we had a playmate over and he was too curious and didn't want to miss anything. Poor guy was trying to nurse on the end of his spoon! This is a little guy that never misses a meal, he ate all his dinner even though his eyes were closed!?!

Decorating GingerBear Cookies

I instructed Mommy to help me make this one look like the girl bear on the package.
"frosting" the eye so it'll stick
Oscar helping to keep the makers of Cheerios in business!

"SantaBear, Daddy & Eleanor!"

Animated Christmas

My friend Drew & I took our folks out for dinner and then drug them to see the Coleman Nursery Collection's animated Christmas display. What fun we all had! Mommy took me here to see the same display when I was only 17 months old!
Christmas around the World
Visions of sugarplums dancing in my head
This was my favorite display, an ice skater that had fallen and kept trying to get up!
Me, Drew & Oscar. Oscar was waving to these elves...cute!
Oscar & Rudolph...Mom has the same pic of me at 17 months.
It's a wrap...I've seen enough tonight!

Preschool Program

Bella & I walked out hand-in-hand for our preschool program this morning. My friends Barrett & Lilah are also nearby.
Here we are singing Twinkle Little Star. I loved singing loudly and doing the hand motions. We had yummy cookies & punch afterwards and also lit a tree on the playground in memory of our director's son who passed away tragically a month ago.

Carseat Climber

You've heard of climbing out of your carseat, right? Well, I was attempting to get up on the couch via my carseat! I don't know why Mom came rushing at me so quickly once she saw my new cool move! I was really climbing to new heights this time! Needless to say, Mom gave my infant carrier away today as I am now officially riding in style in my new big boy carseat!

Gingerbread House

I decorated this gingerbread house (Mommy helped me just a little) for Snoopy the other night. I was putting the finishing touches on his kitchen window in this shot. It's for Snoopy b/c my friends Miranda & Tyler in Ketchikan made one for him too! Now he has TWO houses, what a lucky dog!

Swing

I got a little lazy while helping Mommy push Oscar on the swing!

Little Christmas Shopper!

I asked Mom to take my picture while we were shopping the other day in the Christmas decor aisle. Aren't the penguins and snowmen cute?

Christmas Play

Baa! I was a sheep in our church's Christmas play! We sang "Away In A Manger" and I sang really loud!
My friends Drew & Trinity were sheep also. We sat on a bale of hay over on the left side of the stage. The play was called "Through the eyes of the friendly beasts," I had a great time in my first play! Mom was nervous that I'd get stage-fright but I didn't!
