Swedish Pancakes anyone? Oscar started out the night playing with the swedish pancake pan but then I remembered the ball popper that Eleanor never used, except to pretend it was a vacuum cleaner! It was a huge hit with him! He doesn't care if it pops, he just likes pushing and pulling it around. In fact, he got MAD and screamed at me when I unclenched his hand from it to change a dirty diaper and then later for bathtime! He kept his eye on it the whole duration of the bath...I know what he'll want to play with tomorrow!

Evening antics

It's my 10 month Birthday today! Yesterday I learned how to clap!
PJ Pals

Go Daddy!

Oscar was just a little overzealous when it came to helping Daddy use his PCA pain pump at the hospital. He loves pushing buttons! He also tried to "surf" by standing on the IV pole, what a kid! It was tough to bring him to visit b/c he is SO mobile, practically running!?! Unlike Eleanor, who enjoyed watching Daddy's fancy bedside tv in the background.
We're thankful to announce Daddy was able to come home today afer two long weeks.

First Dance Recital

In her tap shoes, the first of a three part performance. They danced to Elvis' "Hound Dog" and wiped away fake tears...cute!
Ballet or Irish Dance?
Throwing in a step for Auntie Muireann
Even Oscar had an opportunity to dance in the sibling dance!
I love this place! O is for Oscar!
Gymnastics: walking the balance beam with a very pregnant Miss Stephanie

Working the bars with Miss Rachel
Sitting pretty as a rose
Receiving her medal.
Miss Rachel said that Eleanor has a great memory and had all the tap steps and their names memorized in short order. Eleanor tells me that gymnastics is her favorite, but I think she enjoyed wearing her "tappers" (as she calls them) the best b/c they are noisy! Overall, her first dance recital was a hit and Grandma Judi gave her flowers to boot! Eleanor was SO proud!

Dancing Queen

Eleanor modeling her upcoming dance recital costume and showing off a few steps for Nanna & Poppa.

Big Boy

Cookin' up a storm in the kitchen!
Oscar is getting to be "So Big!" He can throw his arm(s, usually just one arm!) up in the air and weighed in at 18 pounds 2 ounces (25%) and 30 inches long (95%) at his 9 month Dr visit. Walking is his main mode of transportation, although he does crawl quite speedily when he needs to, ie: getting away from big sister!
Oscar is teething with his top front teeth: the two lateral incisors have poked through and the left central incisor will be through any day now.

TubTime

"Cleaning Mrs. Duck"
We've had a relaxing weekend...Kristian is still battling a bad cough & congestion for the past two weeks now. He's ready to be done with it! Jasmine is having x-rays tomorrow for her front left "elbow" as she has been limping intermittently for 2 months now. She had joint fluid aspirated and examined on Thursday last week and the vet is hoping with the combination of the joint fluid analysis and the x-rays to come up with a diagnosis. She has been limping worse since the aspiration, thankfully they gave her some doggy ibuprofen.
Oscar is gaining confidence. Now 3-5 steps at a time before plopping down on his buns. And he doesn't have much padding there either, thank goodness for diapers! He has his 9 month well baby doctor visit tomorrow, will keep you updated as to his weight/height!
Eleanor is back at preschool and dance class. Dance recital is coming up in a few weeks and then she'll start swimming lessons. I'm tired of the 19 mile drive one way, although I will miss the shopping/eating opportunities there! With her enjoying dance so much we may pick it up again, I just need a change and think she does too. We've been attending the gym for a year and a half now! Wow!
I've signed up for a Saturday morning step aerobics class and am looking forward to that. Two of my girlfriends have also decided to come so hopefully that will keep us all accountable!

Toot-Toot!

Oscar having fun playing with an old paper towel tube. We had to show him how to blow on it like a horn & now he won't stop!
Wait! I wasn't done tooting the horn! Set me back down!!!

Soccer Girls

Playing soccer with my new Dora goal from Santa with a little (unwanted) help from Jasmine.
