Eleanor's Haircut

I had told Mom that I was going to be shy but this is fun! I got to "ride" in an airplane, wear a sea creature cape...
eat a Dora candy cane AND watch Dora on TV!
Meanwhile, Oscar got to practice driving the Fire Truck.
Loving that steering wheel!
Bringing it up a notch. I love how it automatically flips up! Hopefully this haircut will help make getting out of the house faster...HA!
WHOA!!!
Tada! I kept giving Mom cheesy grins...she's always trying to take my picture!?! Oh, and yes, that is a bandaid by my eye; my fingernail scratched my face while I was taking off my turtleneck for bathtime! Ouch!

Eight months old!

I love playing the maracas!
Bathtime for Bonzo! Fill 'er up Mom, I"m ready!

Christmas Cookies!

We've officially started the Christmas cookie baking season! Eleanor is a decorating pro with her sprinkles and loves those red hots! Oscar doesn't quite know what to think yet...although he'll take another Cheerio!
PS: Eleanor's shirt just happend to match the green cookie dough...it is actually my "Rhonda Raindrop" shirt from when I was a little girl!

Oscar on the move!

How'd I get stuck under the coffee table! Help! Somebody call the...Oh, wait, this is the cord for Mommy's headset. Maybe I'll just call for help myself!
I can pull myself up to standing all by myself! I'm starting to smile on purpose when Mommy takes my picture! It kind of looks like I'm squinting, but I really am smiling!
Are you ready for some Football?
OSU here I come...I want a full ride so my folks don't have to pay tuition!!! OR, maybe I"ll go to the Academy! Only time will tell...

Thanksgiving weekend fun

Oscar crawling around on the kitchen floor...checking out the new vacuum cleaner! We're in trouble now!
Jasmine sniffing the breeze on the front lawn while we raked leaves.
Smiling sweetly after breakfast! Eleanor loves to feed Oscar his food by spoon, which they both love but its SO messy! Whatever keeps them both happy!

Bountiful Harvest

Happy Thanksgiving! These real fruits and vegetables were brought to church and then donated to a local charity for their Thanksgiving meal. Aren't they beautiful? We had a wonderfully relaxed Thanksgiving day raking leaves in the morning after walking Jasmine and then ate with friends at their home.

HI!

I'm learning how to wave Hello! I get very excited and wave my whole arm and hand up and down at my shoulder! Mommy is also trying to teach me how to "Give 5" I'm still working on that one! OH, I just finished eating two bananas! I really am a monkey!

Tub Time

Taking a bath in the big tub with big sister. This is a first, usually I sit in my little baby tub in the big tub! I was slip-sliding all over the place so Daddy put suction-cup Rubber Duckies under my buns to help hold me in place! I love standing to play with the on/off levers and splashing!

Smokin'

Happy Birthday Mommy! I let her use my Dora candle, wasn't that nice of me? I also helped Daddy choose her cake: pink flowers! My friend Drew, Oscar and I all helped Mommy blow out all those candles...there was so much smoke its a miracle we didn't set off a fire alarm!
OH! Moving News! Oscar started really crawling on Mommy's Birthday! He does an "army" crawl, mostly on his arms. And his two teeth are really starting to show now! Such a big 7 1/2 month old boy now! He is wearing 12 month sized clothing!?! He still loves ceiling fans too, which is funny b/c we don't have one in our house!

Night on the Town

I love riding on DC's metro system! Oscar does too, he was sitting in his stroller rocking it back and forth when trains came and went, and during our ride too!

Enjoying the water features at the WW II Memorial. Oscar always gets excited when he hears or sees water!

Lincoln Memorial: a family favorite
GW bust at the Foggy Bottom metro station. Blast from the past: I have a picture of me standing here from the summer of 1993 when I was an intern for Alaskan Senator Murkowski (Frank, not Lisa)!
Finally heading home. What a great evening in DC. Our metro/memorial adventures were preceded by a wonderful Birthday dinner at Legal Seafoods so it was a true night on the town for the whole family, Grandma Judi included!

Lemme' Drive!

Oscar is all boy. He loves buttons, levers, & anything that makes noise!

Cruisin'

I'm really cruisin' now! I love to stand up and had so much fun at the play area patting the ladybug and even practicing holding on with one hand! My Mom felt my first tooth coming in the other day at the zoo...she said it was my lower right central incisor! :)

Hula Girl

No, this isn't another Halloween costume! My Grandma Judi brought it back from Hawaii for me! I love wearing my grass skirt and coconuts! They "hide my breasts b/c boys aren't supposed to see them!" Won't that be a priceless comment in 13 years when she comes out of her bedroom wearing something that barely resembles a shirt!?!

Zoo

Flower Girl...taking time to stop and smell the flowers!

I requested to have my pitcure taken on the tortoise, Mom had to hurry up and take it b/c we were moving so fast! Oscar really enjoyed seeing the two brown cows this time, just kept looking at them and smiling!

7 months old and still no teeth!

Sharks?

We went to the Botanical Gardens and I had fun playing Dora the Explorer on this rocky path, choosing which way to go to "avoid sharks!"

Sesame Street LIVE!

The expensive toy that I "had to have so I could be like the other kids." I really wanted cotton candy but Grandma said NO b/c I already had too much Halloween candy! The bonus is that Oscar really loves the lights and spinning motion on this toy, so now Mom is keeping it close by for diaper changes! Had to get a picture of Oscar the Grouch in his trash can for Oscar!
The whole gang of Sesame Street. I loved watching the show! Oscar did too, it was his first LIVE show! He bounced and jumped around on Mommy's lap, then after the intermission fell fast asleep in Grandma Judi's arms!
