Backyard Driver

Hey Goodlookin'! Wanna ride?
Oscar is already taking after his Great Grandpa Fred by trying to pick up girls in his cozy coupe!
Vrrooom! (He is so cute when he makes that sound!)
Whoa! Going so fast I almost lost my hat!
Jasmine cooling down on the driveway after an evening walk on a hot day.
We've been trying to take her every night. Not quite back to par of her 2 walks per day but she is satisfied for now.

Spring Program

School is out for Summer!
My class is in the front row & I am standing next to Lilah & Tarquin, 3rd from the left.
Our spring program was all about animals so we sang "Tie me kangaroo down sport", the chicken dance and a few other songs with animals.
All smiles: My friend Lilah & I were so excited to have "twin matching dresses with BIG and little pink flowers!" Corey, Bella & I enjoying our cookies after the program.

Popsicle?

What Child Labor Laws?

Washing the glass door for Nanna & Poppa's arrival. Oscar is constantly creating work to be done so we tried to have him help out a little here. Eleanor has just learned how to help wash windows this past week and loves it!

Beach Day

See the waves & the water Oscar? And he's off! We couldn't keep him out of the water...no fear even after falling in face first.
Daddy had to keep a close watch on him which of course made him mad, he didn't want to have "helping hands."
Striking a mermaid pose
I love going to the beach with Nanna & Poppa!
All tuckered out

Jasmine's Night at the Beach

Digging with my sand shovel...
Jasmine had her 1st trip to the beach since her surgery and we went all out by taking her to the Virginia Beach boardwalk! She had a great time and even went swimming after this yellow pail handle. She loved all the attention she received from passerbys and we even had two families tell us their experiences with having a tripod.
Getting a good sandy backscratch. Yes, she got a bath when we got home!

Big Boy Breakfast

Such a big boy...Oscar sat in Eleanor's boosted chair for breakfast this morning as she was still asleep. He had cereal (and some plastic fried eggs!)

Future Dentist?

Mommy cleaned my teeth this week. And Dr. P is so "silly" he gave me his "Barbie Dentist set-up!" I love putting the mask on Barbie and helping her take care of Kelly's teeth.
(Does she know how to make her Mommy happy or what?)

Yogurt?

Mmmm! Oscar is doing a great (albeit messy!) job of learning how to self-feed himself. His new favorite is yoplait yogurt.

Dessert?

Oscar caught in the act of stealing someone else's chocolate cake at our cookout with friends from church this weekend.

Sweet Sleep

Yes, he is sleeping sitting up!?! Guess he finally got too tired to stay awake for me to come rescue him from his crib.
Learning through osmosis? Love his hind-end up in the air...his common sleeping position!

Happy Mother's Day!

We braved the damp weather for no lines at Busch Gardens and had a good time. Eleanor loved being able to ride twice, once with each parent. Oscar got on the carosel horse and started bouncing, ready to ride! He knew what to do this time. Eleanor HAD to have pink cotton candy. I had used it as a bribe all throughout the week..it worked! Oscar has been teething with his bottom molars so his "fingers in the mouth" is not just because he wanted sister to share!
Hmm, what is big sister doing? If I climb up here to get a better look...
Oh, there she is!
Riding the teacups with Mommy! She loves to go fast and spin around & around.
We actually got "stuck" in the German FestHaus due to lightening and heavy rain. Thankfully we were able to take in a show and dinner to pass the time. The kiddos had a great time watching & dancing with the performers during the chicken dance and polka. Eleanor was such a good big sister, bringing Oscar up and staying with him. Oscar loved the live band music and didn't stop moving the whole time.

Have spatchula...will use it!

Busch Gardens

We went to Busch Gardens on Saturday and had a wonderful time. Oscar had his first carosel ride sitting on a horse. Although he is all smiles here, he was in my arms by the time the ride stopped! No tears though, just concernment.
Eleanor and I got to hold a parrot! Note her self-dressed appearance (yes, all by herself!) including her necklace turned 60's heart headband!
Waiting for sister on the "Adult Swings" Why are you watching me so closely??? I'm not doing anything mischevious.
Oscar's 1st Ladybug ride.
Big Sister was a huge help when he got concerned and put her arm around him to keep him focused on "driving." He rode twice b/c when we went to take him out the first time he cried b/c he wasn't done yet!
Captian Eleanor behind the wheel
giving Daddy a bumpy ride on the dragons
Time to cool off!
(Eleanor is up ahead on the right in the pink 2-piece.)
Splish - Splash!

Meeting Mother Goose & Gertie the Goose after storytime
First time on the swings...he was so tired he just sat there and twirled the white bar around. He wanted to ride twice (balked when I tried to take him out) and the operator stopped the ride 1/2 way through to help him off b/c he was slowly twisting out of his seat! Overall he really seemed to like all his rides and I think he's off to a fun summer of trips to BG!
All tuckered out after a full day of fun in the sun.
