Orders

Kristian finally received his orders yesterday to Washington DC. He'll be working at CG Headquarters. Although DC was not on our shopping list of choices it's nice to finally know where we'll be moving...soon!?! Our goal is to get the house on the market in 2 weeks and then start our house hunting search in the DC area. HQ is downtown, so we are hoping he won't have too long of a commute. Anyone have any town/neighborhood suggestions? If you haven't seen our nation's capital, now you'll have a place to stay!

Daddy's Home!

Kristian is hopefully done with work travel for a while now. We are still waiting for our orders and heard from the detailer on Saturday. Not sure why he called b/c he told us he'd let us know sometime next week! Nothing like a little suspense to keep you on your toes!

Rainy Weekend

Oscar riding his 4-Wheeler on loan from Bob the Builder. Saturday night "Rockin'!" session with Abbey, Eleanor, Oscar & Emma.
With Oscar on antibiotics, his ear/eye infection quickly resolved so we were finally able to have some company.
Eleanor being goofy: sitting in Oscar's Truck Box. I'm still in shock that she fits!?!

Sharing Siblings

Eleanor has learned the art of sharing...and given Oscar double ear infections and pink eye! We took him to the Dr this morning and he is now taking (begrudgingly) Amoxicillin 2x/day. At least it smells like oranges! He is also cutting an upper right molar, last night was rough, up 3 times crying.

And today was Eleanor's first morning back to school! She was so excited to see all her friends, they had made her Get Well cards, so cute!

For those of you wondering, we are still awaiting word on where we will be transferring to this summer. We hope to know by the end of the week!

Icicles

The kids were so excited to find icicles in our holly yesterday morning! They loved picking them off and eating them. It's been in the 20's-30's here and we even had a snow day on Monday (which we didn't get to enjoy with Eleanor being sick!) Poor Oscar has been wanting to go outside but Eleanor doesn't...what's a momma to do? I offered to have her watch a movie while we went in the backyard for 10 minutes where she could call to us, but no go. Daddy finally got home from Charlottesville so that should help!?!
This is Eleanor's "leaf-sicle!"
Eleanor wanted to type a message: gkkjgnmg mj ihjothkjtytuthrtge
hkgjbnnmngfk cat henry
Her friend Emma taught her how to spell cat and henry so she was thrilled to type 2 words!

Pink Eye

Eleanor had bloodshot eyes with no other symptoms and I made a Dr appt for her on Monday. They were mostly concerned with her ears as she has an outer ear infection which is affecting her eyes as well! They said the pink eye will dissipate once her ears are better, so we have been putting cortisporin drops in her ears 3x/day. She is learning what "contagious" means and does well washing her hands and throwing away her tissues. Starting to have a little bit of cabin fever after being home all week but her teacher has reassured her they are saving all the fun stuff for when she returns!
