Oscar's first day of Preschool

Oscar had his first day of Preschool on a rainy Monday.

Mr. Mischevious!

He'll go two mornings a week.

After hanging up his raincoat he wanted to take off his shoes. Made me feel good about his training at home, even if I still have to help him!

He had a great first day & even got to "check out" a book from the library, just like big sister! Course his was about building a house!

Washington Monument

Eleanor & her friend Abby, the girls were so excited as it was
their first time to go up in the monument.

We got to see mounted policemen!

We had to wait a few hours before going up in the monument and it was cold so we took a side trip to the American History Museum. The girls loved seeing the ruby red slippers from the Wizard of Oz & the First Ladies Inaugural gowns.

This is the best one considering he covered his eyes and then was kicking his feet up at me!

Lunch with a Shark

Our neighbor friend Marthalee brought over a dried sandshark head from Florida.

Oscar was nervous about it first, but after naming the shark "Garbonzo" (don't ask...from Gofrette, a children's tv show) he warmed up to it. "He has sharp teeth!"

We wound up eating lunch with Garbonzo on the kitchen counter!
